During this professional development course, I have learned to incorporate many digital tools into my teaching practice. This course helped me to strengthen my knowledge of Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy and also enable me to plan every concept from lower-order thinking skills to higher-order thinking skills. Attending 17 -week sessions guided by our Trainer and Programme Leader aided me to gain a deeper understanding of e-learning theories and skills associated with these theories, quote the references using Harvard Referencing System. On a whole, this course strengthened me to plan my classes/lessons effectively by incorporating differentiated instruction and inclusive learning and meeting the various needs of different sets of learners and polishing their abilities/intelligence..

The new learning, I have developed is that understanding of different theories, active learning, meta-cognition, and reflective practice have an impact on my classroom practice. Now I am using active learning approaches in my classroom practice which engage learners in deep rather than surface learning, and enable my learners to apply and transfer knowledge better. This course improved my classroom practice. Previously I used to plan the lessons to teach the content, Now my lesson plan provides a general outline of my teaching goals, learning objectives, and I am aware of what teaching and learning activities I have to plan to help my learners to achieve the learning objectives. My understanding of active learning influences my classroom practice. This course has provided a framework for my future professional development.

As rightly quoted by Nelson Mandela “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.Adhering to the same lines PDQ course has trained us to implement the same in our teaching learning process. It is considered an essential mechanism for enhancing a teacher’s content knowledge and developing an educator’s teaching practices in order to teach across various grades. Every one of us is a student, constantly learning about everything life throws at us. Same is the case with teachers who should be constantly positioned on the learning curve. FESDA is a platform to upgrade my professional skills. This Professional Development Course helped me to explore the hidden talent of identifying me as an efficient teacher. It helped me to develop thinking and to be responsible for such planning that impacts my learners.

This is Rehana Sultana. I have done my Cambridge Professional development course. PDQ is an effective classroom-focused process that supports teachers to develop and grow professionally. Even though we have the necessary skills, we need additional skills to become better and more efficient. It allowed me to reflect on my own teaching and to give feedback. I felt very confident after doing my PDQ course. I implemented many tools during this pandemic for the online classes. I made my students do collaborative learning, peer assessing and be independent learners. I could able to apply different learning strategies in my classroom. PDQ course was worthful for me.

The Cambridge PDQ journey enhanced the creative teacher in me. It has helped me grow professionally and benefited me personally. I benefited immensely in terms of gaining a deeper understanding of learning and teaching principles, such as active learning and assessment for learning and being able to apply them to my classroom practices. My classroom has become more student-centered. After the Cambridge PDQ training, I began to hand over responsibility to my students. They started doing the most of the talking and actively being involved in their learning. The feedback from my learners helped me to improve my teaching practice.

FESDA certification course had given me the wonderful experience of attending interactive training sessions in a knowledge-oriented environment. The professional development course sharpened my teaching strategies to incorporate digital devices in teaching and learning to set up a challenging environment for the students to develop 21st-century skills. There was a rigorous practice to learn relevant theories and principles. which helped me to enhance my teaching skills to transform my class by focusing on each learner through differentiated learning activities. This course taught me to collaborate with colleagues which guided me to share ideas and acquire new teaching and learning strategies. It strengthened my skills for effective planning to create an active learning environment by involving each learner in the class with an interest in addressing their needs to improve their multiple intelligences.

This module and coursework requirements were directed to present some crucial and effective experiences for me. During the entire course, I learned extensively different learning, which can be proved quite helpful for me to build a successful and attractive career ahead. I can present the significance of the coursework activities done in terms of my learning from this subject.

Firstly, the most obvious thing that I discovered was the advantage of working as part of a group. I learned that good teamwork is the key to success in design activities when time and resources are limited. As everyone had their point of view, many different ideas could be produced, and I found the energy of group participation very stimulating. This made me feel more energetic about contributing to discussions.

Secondly, I discovered that even the simplest things on earth could be turned into something amazing if we put enough creativity and effort into working on them. With the Impromptu Design activities, I learned that every design has its weaknesses and strengths, and working with a group can help me discover what they are. We challenged each other’s preconceptions about what would and would not work. We could also see the reality of the way changing a design affected its performance.

Lastly, I would like to thank the management, mentor, trainers, and leaders. Without their support and feedback, I would not credit myself for getting distinction.

In my opinion, the CIDTL is a dynamic teacher-development course, which is very well designed to incorporate international best practices in Education. The syllabus and assignments provide a framework that includes a range of teaching and learning methods making intensive use of technology. The focus is on the development of knowledge, skills, and understanding in the key aspects of teaching and learning. It helps us to explore and apply new ideas in our context, integrate new approaches in our practice, and demonstrate our professional development as reflective practitioners. It is the best course that I have accomplished so far and it was a great learning experience under the guidance of Sireesha Ma’am our Tutor..Thank you FESDA team and management for giving us this platform to complete the course.

I am Sabitha working as a Math mentor in The Creek Planet School (Venus campus). I have successfully completed my PDQ Certification at FESDA this year. I am extremely happy that I took the opportunity to do this course in digital technologies. After doing this course I am able to apply new ideas and approaches in reflective practice in my teaching and learning context. It helped me to be confident in using digital technologies while teaching the subject and encouraging learners to engage actively in their learning. The content is interesting and made my mind active all through the course. The sessions were interesting and interactive with various activities.
